I have been playing with ways to create dots and circles. The following images are some examples of these experiments.
Some of the ways I have created these dots and circles are by:
- adhering the polymer clay to the surface (glass) and cutting out the circles carefully – not moving the base layer
- part baking the base layer so that there is little distortion to the layer
- adding dots with souffle pens and then baking to set
- careful application cutting out and replacing – raw clay to raw clay
- playing with textures and adding circles over circles – offsetting the circles
- drilling holes and using/creating textures that leave circles and dots
All have appeal to me and I am ready to apply to some feature pieces in the near future.
